The Cembre 4 Bolt Fixing Transformer Terminal is designed to fit most common transformer fixings to ESI standards with M8 studs. Manufactured from high conductivity seamless copper tubing, it is electronically plated to BS1872 as standard. Each lug features a chamfered conductor entry and visual inspection holes. It can be used for applications up to 11kV when used within a protected environment.

Cembre 11-33kV Bi-Metallic Cable Lugs
Single bolt Cembre CAA-M series bi-metallic connectors are designed for use with stranded aluminium conductors to BS EN 60228:2005. Solid, shaped conductors will require pre-rounding prior to lug insertion. Suitable for all applications upto 36kV.
CAA lugs are made from 99.5%+ purity aluminium barrel, friction-welded to a copper palm. The barrels are filled with grease and capped to avoid oxidation of the aluminium.
The absence of an inspection hole within the design makes the lug suitable for indoor and outdoor installations.
Die set crimping positions are marked along the CAA barrel, ensuring correct die set positioning prior to compression. Refer to the datasheet to select the correct die sets and crimp tool.
Cembre 11-33kV Stranded Aluminium Cable Lugs
Cembre AA-M series aluminium terminals designed for terminating stranded aluminium conductors to BS 6360. Solid sector-shaped conductors may also be accommodated, but will require pre-rounding prior to insertion.
Suitable for both Low and Medium Voltage (LV/MV) applications, these Cembre lugs are suitable for voltages up to and including 36kV.
Manufactured from seamless aluminium tube with a purity equal to or greater than 99.5%. The single bolt AA-M crimp lugs are supplied capped and filled with grease to avoid oxidation of the aluminium.
The absence of an inspection hole helps to prevent moisture ingress, making these terminals suitable for both indoor and outdoor termination environments.
Die set crimping positions are marked along the barrel length. Please consult our datasheet for the correct die set/compression tool combination.
Cembre 11-33kV Copper Cable Lugs – Type 2AM
The single-bolt Cembre 2A-M range of heavy-duty copper tube terminals are designed for use with Migh Voltage circular stranded copper conductors between 400-1000mm2 for voltages up to 33kV.
Manufactured from high-conductivity seamless copper tube, type 2A lugs to BS EN 17735 with a purity greater than 99.5%, each product is designed to meet the requirements of BS4579 Part 3 when used with the appropriate die set/compression tool combination.
The absence of an inspection hole prevents the entry of water or moisture and therefore allows these HV terminals to be installed in both indoor and outdoor applications.
Two-bolt variant of the 2A-M lug is also available in certain sizes, as well as the option to have the barrel pre-filled with an epoxy compound to enhance the moisture-blocking. Please contact our Sales Team with your exact requirements.
