Our Range Of Armoured Cable Joints

Armoured Cable are used a great deal in the UK; and as their name suggests, they feature an armour that protects the cable, which is especially useful when the cable is underground. They are also often referred to as SWA (Steel Wire Armoured) Cables. These types of cables require specific types of cable joints for ease of installation.

At ETS Cable Components we offer a wide range of joints for Armoured Cables, including low voltage versions, such as heat shrink, cold shrink and resin filled. For higher voltages, we stock products like these Single Core Straight Joints from 3M, which are ideal for armoured and unarmoured polymeric cables up to 52kV.

We also supply the 3M 92-AG and 94-AC series of Cold Shrink QuickSplice MV single-core cable joints. These accessories are designed for the jointing of polymeric insulated aluminium wire, or lead sheathed cables up to 33kV.

With these armoured cable joints, installation will be quick and straight-forward, with no naked flame required. They come supplied with a mechanical core connector and have in-built stress control and core re-screening.
