It cures into a flexible and resistant film, with excellent adhesion to most common surfaces such as metal, glass, plastic, wood, etc. Scotch 1601 is resistant to UV-rays, acids, oil and alkalis. It is moisture and weatherproof . The spray is especially characterised by its high dielectric strength.

Pre-stretched 3M silicone LSOH ColdShrinkTM rubber tubing, expanded over open-ended removable cores. Each tube is supplied ready for on-site installation with no heat required.
3M Cold Shrink tubing works by placing the product over connectors, lugs and splices, unwinding the core and allowing the LSOH silicone to form a tight environmental seal and provide a constant radial pressure to the cable and terminal.
8440 ColdShrink tubes are inherently Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSOH). Having a hydrophobic surface they naturally repel moisture and are UV stable.
8440 series ColdShrink tubing is suitable as primary insulation on solid dielectric (rubber and plastic) insulated LV cables up to 1000v AC.
