Cembre MV Copper Cable Lugs

The Cembre 2A-Range of cable lugs are designed for use with stranded copper conductors within Medium Voltage (MV) indoor applications up to 33kV. The absence of an inspection hole prevents moisture ingress, also making these copper terminals suitable for outdoor applications upto 11kV.

Cembre heavy duty cable lugs are manufactured from high-conductivity seamless copper tube to EN 12735 (Purity 99.5%+), electrolytically tin-plated to BS 1872.

The single bolt lugs feature a double-length barrel and chamfered entry to ensure correct conductor insertion prior to crimping. Please consult the datasheet for correct die set and crimping tool selection.

A two-bolt fixing version is also available for certain conductor sizes, please contact our Sales Team with your requirements.

Cembre Single Bolt Copper Cable Lugs

Cembre A-M series lugs are designed for use with stranded copper conductors to BS EN 60228:2005 Class 2 and Class 5 flexible copper cables.  Suitable for applications up to 11kV when used within a protected environment and crimped with the correct Cembre die set/tool combination.

Manufactured from high-conductivity seamless copper tube with a purity greater than 99.5%, each product is designed to meet the requirements of BS EN 61238-1:2003 when used with the appropriate die set/compression tool combination

All crimp terminals within the A-M range feature a visual inspection hole to ensure correct conductor insertion prior to crimping.

Cembre Reduced Palm Cable Lugs

Cembre copper cable lugs featuring a reduced palm width, designed for installation within Low Voltage circuit breakers which have reduced space between terminal guards.  The narrow palm of these Cembre lugs allows for easier installation than our standard range of copper lugs.

ETS Cable Cleats, Glands and Lugs For 5 Broadgate, London

When fully occupied London’s 5 Broadgate in the heart of the City will be the new home for global financial services provider, UBC.

Covering over 700,000 sq ft (66,890 sq m), the building will deliver state-of-the art trading facilities. 5 Broadgate will include up to four trading floors and accommodate approximately 750 traders.

The building has been designed by Make Architects and is on track to receive a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

Phoenix-Cable CleatsETS – working with the main contractor Mace – supplied Phoenix Cable Cleats (fire survival cleats). The cable cleats, from Ellis Patents, are designed to complement the new fire performance cables that are increasingly being specified within commercial and public building projects.

CMP CW Cable Glands, Cembre Cable Lugs and Euromold Separable Connectors were also delivered as part of the project.

Cembre B1350-CE Battery Operated Crimping Tool (10-400mm2)

The new 18V cordless Cembre B1350-CE battery operated crimping tool is suitable for the compression of lugs and connects between 10-400mm2. Representing part of the new generation of hydraulic crimpers, the B1350-CE is intended to replace the B135-C range of crimpers.

With 132kN crimping force, the B1350-CE is designed to accept all semi-circular slotted die sets common to the Cembre 130kN tooling range.

The new Li-Ion 18V 4Ah batteries offer higher capacity than previous 14.4V versions, while a greater crimping speed and force result from a revitalised crimping system with double-speed action: A rapid approach of the dies to the lug, then a steady, powerful speed for crimping. LED lights also feature at the front of the tool, illuminating the working area for additional convenience and safety.

Featuring a new OLED display and touch button, the B1350-CE is able to display real-time tool operating information, including:

  • Battery condition
  • Crimping force generated, for confirmation of adherence to norms and best practices
  • Tool identification and serial number
  • Crimp cycle and operations remaining until next service

The B150-CE crimping tool is supplied with a shoulder strap, two 18v batteries, charger and a robust plastic carrying case, suitable for storing the tool and up to 7 die sets.

The company began studying battery powered portable hydraulic tools back in 2000, bringing the undeniable advantage of their extensive experience in developing and producing manual hydraulic heads and tools.

Among our range of Cembre products is the HT131-C Hydraulic Crimping Tool which has a classic G head, now the industry standard for most crimping requirements up to 400mm2. Suitable for the compression of cable lugs between 10-400mm2 and splicing up to 185mm2 , this crimping tool can be used on insulated terminals, overhead lines and earthing applications.

Other features include an inbuilt safety valve and two-ram advance which allows for the easy positioning of the connector.

Another of our Cembre products is the RHU520 Hydraulic Crimp Head which is sold with a 12-month warranty and full calibration certificate. It comes complete with a male Quick fit automatic coupler which connects to numerous Cembre hydraulic pump units with a working pressure of 700bar.
