Birkett Resin Straight Joint Kit – S6

Premium range of the Birkett LV straight joint, the S6 joint kit comprises of a two-part transparent mould, Swishpak resin pack, armour continuity braid under-armour support rings, worm-drive clips, mastic tape and Birkett installation instructions.

S6 joint kit properties:

  • Single-core XLPE/AWA/LSF 1kV cable range: 25-50mm2
  • Two-core XLPE/SWA/LSF 1kV cable range: 1.5-10mm2

  • Four-core XLPE/SWA/LSF 1kV cable range: 1.5-6.0mm2
  • BS EN 50393 Tested

These Low Voltage resin joints are designed to enable core cross-over and can be used with either compression splices or mechancial connectors. Both available separately.

LV Mechanical Service Connectors

Low voltage, extruded aluminium shear bolt service connector, suitable for jointing UNCUT mains to service cables upto 35mm2 within resin-filled joints.

The mechanical connector is able to accept both stranded and solid, copper or aluminium conductors, for use on LV cables up to 1000v AC.

Installed without the need for specialist tooling, the aluminium bolts shear once the correct torque is reached, ensuring a reliable and consistent connection every time.

Tested to IEC 6138-119/10/2006:1993.
