3M T2220 – Scotch Stress Control Mastic Tape
3M 3M ScotchTM stress control tape is designed to change/control the voltage distribution in electrical fields surrounding joints and terminations of MV/HV cables.
The 3M tape regulates the lines of flux to equalise the electrical stress in a controlled manner along the entire taped joint or termination area where the shielding has been removed. By altering the electrical field surrounding the termination or joint the stress concentration is reduced from several thousand volts to values found in continuous cable.
Features of the 2220 stress control tape include:
- For continuous use upto +90oC.
- Emergency overload temperature up to +130oC.

TE-Connectivity 11kV ShrinkSetTM Jointing System
Universal TE-Connectivity ShrinkSetTM 11kV joints are a modern, cost effective and simple system for jointing all conventional three-core (3core) armoured and/or lead (Pb) sheathed 11kV cables.
Each kit in the ShrinkSetTM range includes all components for jointing both polymeric (XLPE or EPR) and paper 3-core 11 kV cables, either as in-line or transition arrangements. The product range also includes branch joints and a live pot-end kit.
ShrinkSetTM Universal joints are also able to joint cable of two differing cross-sectional areas due to the mechanical range-taking connectors contained within each kit. A range of build-up kits are available to complement the range for such instances, when required.
The design of the 11kV ShrinkSet joint system is based on proven heatshrink insulation components, used with a two-part polyurethane resin-filled mould body for impact and moisture ingress protection.
Meets Electricity Association specification ER-C90 and other relevant specifications.
