TE Connectivity Busbar Tapes

TE Connectivity HVBT High Voltage busbar tape is a heat-shrinkable, adhesive coated tape designed to provide insulation enchancement and protection against accidentally induced discharge.

Designed primarily for insulating straight and bent bars where tubing cannot be used, TE-Connectivity HVBT tape combines the integrity of heatshrink tubing with the versatility of a wraparound product.

Once heated, the adhesive lining melts, amalgamating the overlapped layers together and producing a complete lap-to-lap seal. The busbar tape layers fuse together but do not stick to the bus or hardware, thus providing an environmental seal while allowing fast, easy removal.

A single layer of HVBT tape, two-thirds over-lapped, will provide AC voltage withstand (flashover protection) to at least 17.5kV, increasing to 25kV if a second layer is applied.

• TE Connectivity Busbar tape has a continuous temperature limit of -10^oC to +70^oC.
