The Flexicon EXD ATEX-rated barrier gland is manufactured from nickel-plated brass with a nylon seal and comes with a solid-setting two-part epoxy resin pack and also benefits from London Underground Product Approval.

EXD flameproof barrier glands offer a high specification, high quality solution for ATEX and IECEx EX d (flameproof), EX e (increased safety) and Ex t (dust ignition protection) applications. Can be used in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 and Zone 22 Hazardous Areas, when used with the Flexicon range of liquid-tight flexible conduits.

Ingress protection ratings include: IP66, IP67, IP68 and IP69K.

Flexicon EXD gland properties:

  • High mechanical strength
  • Suitable for threaded entries
  • Operating temperature of -60oC to +85oC
  • Can be used with individual cores or oversheathed cables
  • London Underground Product Approval No: 2624
